Restaurant Order Automation

Overview

Bella Vista Restaurant Group operates 5 restaurants and was struggling with order management across locations. I built a centralized system that handles online orders, kitchen display, inventory, and customer loyalty — all in one place.

The Challenge

Each restaurant was running on a different POS system, online orders came through 3 different platforms, and inventory was tracked on paper. The owner had no visibility into which locations were performing well or which menu items were most profitable.

The Solution

I implemented a centralized system built on Odoo with custom modules:

• Unified ordering: All online orders (website, WhatsApp, delivery apps) flow into a single queue per restaurant
• Kitchen display: Raspberry Pi screens in each kitchen show orders in real time with prep timers
• Inventory tracking: Ingredients are automatically deducted as orders are placed, with low-stock alerts
• Customer loyalty: A points system tracked across all locations, with automated birthday offers and re-engagement campaigns
• Centralized reporting: The owner sees real-time sales, popular items, and performance comparisons across all 5 locations
• Payment integration: Stripe for online payments with automatic reconciliation
